This 6-week course offers the best of both worlds—wheel throwing and hand building! The class will combine both techniques, with a focus on creating functional pottery such as mugs, bowls, plates and planters. We will begin with four weeks of wheel throwing before transitioning to four weeks of hand building.
Students are also welcome to focus exclusively on either wheel throwing or hand building for all 8 weeks if they prefer to dive deeper into one technique.
This class will also introduce ceramic underglaze decals, which can be applied to greenware or bisqueware. This class is designed for the hobbyist, from beginner to advanced.
