Join us upstate for an evening of fire, smoke, and one-of-a-kind finishes as we transform your ceramic pieces right before your eyes. Once your pieces are fired, you are welcome to stick around, hang out, and watch the rest of the evening’s firings unfold.
Raku firing is a vibrant and exciting firing technique where pottery is rapidly heated in a gas-fired kiln for approximately 30–45 minutes. Once the pottery reaches around 1,900°F, it is carefully removed from the kiln and placed into a combustible reduction environment. The resulting interaction between fire, smoke, and glaze creates beautifully unpredictable and one-of-a-kind finishes on each piece.
